|Notification on Nucleic Acid Test Certificate Required for Chinese and Foreign Passengers bound for China from Saudi Arabia|
In accordance with The Joint Announcement of the Civil Aviation Administration, the General Administration of Customs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China on Requiring China-bound Passengers to COVID-19 Negative Certificates before Boarding dated on July 20th, 2020, the Chinese Embassy and Consulate-General in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would like to note the details of the adoption of the above policies as follows:
1. General requirements
Starting from August 1st, 2020, all of Chinese and foreign passengers taking flights bound for China from Saudi Arabia airports (including passengers from other countries bound for China by way of Saudi Arabia airports) are required to apply for the green Health Code with "HS" Symbols or Health Declaration Form by presenting their negative results of COVID-19 nucleic acid tests. Relevant Airlines will only check the Health Code or the Health Declaration Form instead of the original physical reports of COVID-19 nucleic acid tests of each passenger before boarding.
2. Time of nucleic acid tests and testing facilities
All nucleic acid tests for COVID-19 should be completed within 5 days (120 hours)
before boarding. The tests should be taken in facilities designated or recognized by Chinese Embassy in Saudi Arabia or Chinese Consulate-General in Jeddah. (See the attachment for the list of the facilities)
3. How to apply for the Health Code (For Chinese passengers only)
Once getting the negative test results, Chinese passengers are required to take photograph of the report and upload their COVID-19 negative certificates to the WeChat mini program COVID-19 Prevention Health Code International Version.
Upon verification by Chinese Embassy in Saudi Arabia or Chinese consulate-General in Jeddah, the applicants will get
the green Health Code with "HS" Symbols. Please make sure to board the flight within the validity period of the Health Code and cooperate with the staff of the airlines for checking the said Code.
4. How to apply for the Health Declaration Form (For Foreign passengers only)
Foreign passengers, within 24 hours after getting the negative test results, should send the scanned copies of the page of personal information of their valid passport, their negative result certificates of COVID-19 nucleic acid tests and the duly signed Health Declaration Form to the following e-mail address of the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General in Saudi Arabia. After the due verification, the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General in Saudi Arabia will send the Health Declaration Form back to the applicants. The Foreign passengers bound for China should then print out the Health Declaration Form and bring it to the airport. Please make sure to board the flight within the validity period of the Health Declaration Form and cooperate with the staff of the airlines for checking the said Letter.

E-mail address of Chinese Consulate General in Jeddah:
All passengers intend to take flights bound for China shall read this notice carefully. If you could not complete the COVID-19 nucleic acid tests or get the report of negative result in time, or didn't obtain the green Health Code with "HS" Symbols or the Health Declaration Form, it would mean that you temporarily failed to meet with the relevant requirements for boarding. Please readjust your schedule accordingly. Chinese and foreign passengers in countries where requirements of green Health Code with "HS" Symbols or the Health Declaration Forms for boarding have already been implemented, will be required to have their green Health Code with "HS" Symbols or the Health Declaration Form checked by the relevant airlines even at the airport of transit. Please make sure that your green Health Code with "HS" Symbols or the Health Declaration Form is still valid at the local time of transit airport. Otherwise they may be denied boarding and hence be stranded in the airport.
